About
I just graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Ambrose University with degrees in Data Science & Analytics and Mathematics, and I'm heading to NYU's Center for Data Science this fall to go deeper. I grew up in São Paulo, Brazil, played soccer across two continents, and somewhere along the way got obsessed with machine learning and AI.
What I enjoy most is building projects end to end — from raw, messy data all the way to a deployed system that actually does something useful. I like owning the full pipeline: the data wrangling, the modeling decisions, the engineering to get it into production. I care about the gap between a notebook experiment and a working product, and I've closed that gap in real environments.
I compete in Kaggle tournaments not just for rankings, but because hard constraints force creative solutions. The same drive pushes me to take on projects where the path isn't obvious — I want to understand the tradeoffs, not just run a script someone else wrote.
I'm Brazilian, multilingual, and have spent years moving between cultures and teams. I think that shows up in how I collaborate: direct, curious, and not precious about being wrong. If a better idea comes along, I want to hear it.
Outside of work, I played varsity soccer and captained the team at St. Ambrose, and I play drums. Both taught me more about timing, pressure, and reading a room than any class did.
